Interdisciplinary and Applied Physics and Technology

Interdisciplinary research combines knowledge from the different fields of physics, while studies on new technologies focus mainly on nuclear and particle physics. Both have important practical applications, for example in the field of medical diagnostics, biophysical modeling, and in environmental monitoring, and can also stimulate new ideas and advances in experiments on fundamental physics, as in the case of frontier techniques in particle detection.
