Physics meets music: the Caffè dei Quanti returns with “Message in a Bottle”

The Caffè dei Quanti series continues, offering a unique format that blends scientific outreach, live music, and theatrical readings to bring the fascinating world of modern physics closer to the public in an informal and engaging setting.
The next event, titled “Message in a Bottle”, will take place on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 PM at Knulp Bar in Trieste (Via della Madonna del Mare 7a).
This evening will explore cosmic explosions at the edges of the Universe, focusing on gamma-ray bursts, among the most powerful and mysterious phenomena in modern astrophysics. Guiding the audience through this cosmic journey will be Francesco Longo, Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Trieste and a renowned expert in the field.
The event will be enriched by theatrical readings performed by actress Silvia Sfecci, bringing to life texts inspired by the cosmic and scientific imagination, and by live music from a talented group of young musicians:
- Giovanni Baldizzi (vocals and guitar),
- Zoe Mariti (vocals and bass),
- Samuele Gasparotto (guitar),
- Leonardo Piattelli (drums).
The Caffè dei Quanti aims to create a space for dialogue between science and society, offering new perspectives to understand the world around us through different yet complementary forms of expression.
Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
