From 10 to 12 September 2024, the fourth school on quantum foundations was held at the Department of Physics in Trieste.

Quantum mechanics is extremely successful in predicting experimental results and has a wide range of applications. However, many unanswered questions remain.

The school introduced master's and doctoral students to the outstanding problems in our understanding of quantum foundations. To provide an in-depth look at the foundations of quantum mechanics, lectures were given by experts in the field. A large space was dedicated to selected interventions.

The school is dedicated to Prof. GianCarlo Ghirardi.
