CLUSTER4 conference kicks off: the Italian galaxy cluster community meets in Trieste
Thanks to the involvement of members of the Department of Physics (DF), from September 10 to 13, 2024, at the Aula 1A Conference Room of Building D of the University of Trieste, the CLUSTER4 conference will be held, the fourth national meeting of the Italian community working on galaxy groups and clusters.
Following the success of previous meetings CLUSTER1 (Turin, 2017), CLUSTER2 (Naples, 2018), and CLUSTER3 (Bologna, 2022), this event once again brings together Italian researchers and scientists to share ideas, discuss joint projects, and take stock of ongoing research activities.
During the conference, highly relevant topics will be addressed, including the use of galaxy clusters both as cosmological probes and astrophysical laboratories, through theoretical models, numerical simulations, and multi-band observations. Special attention will be given to the involvement of the Italian community in major international collaborations, with contributions highlighting the role and results achieved by national research groups.
The conference program will include scientific presentations as well as roundtables to openly discuss the key issues that galaxy cluster research aims to solve in the coming years.
