I will give an overview of the accelerator landscape in the US, including the status of the large projects being executed and planned at the US National Laboratories, and with particular focus on high-power facilities such as the SNS at ORNL. I will discuss the potential and the challenges associated with the realization of such large accelerator facilities. I will then conclude by discussing the vision for high-energy physics in the next 50 years and the accelerators needed to realize such an ambitious vision.
