A virtual visit to the CERN laboratories was held on January 14th, with the participation of around 20 bachelor and master Physics students of Trieste. It was not possible to held the traditional trip to CERN due to the pandemics situation.

During the live virtual tour on Zoom we visited the antiproton decelerator, the ATLAS experiment, the test facility of LHC cryomagnets and the CERN data centre.It has been also possible to introduce the physics of the CERN experiments in a seminar held by some researchers of the Physics Department and to interact with the students in a a long Q&A session in Room A at the Department.
