After a preliminary discussion of the macroscopic consequences of quantum vacuum in general, I will describe in more detail the possible interplay between gravity and the mass generation via the Higgs field in astrophysics and in experimental physics. I will finally discuss various research directions at the border between Higgs and gravitation, some having cosmological implications.
